This role involves fabricating components, preparing surfaces, and applying high-quality coatings to ensure products meet rigorous industry standards. WITH OVERTIME AS REQUIRED JOB SUMMARY

: The Fabricator/Painter Temp will safely and efficiently fabricate, assemble, prepare, and paint components and equipment in accordance with engineering specifications, work instructions, and quality standards. This role supports production by producing high-quality finished products while maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Temporary work, on-site in an air-conditioned facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

:

• Fabricate and form sheet metal using equipment such as press brakes, CNC laser cutters, shears, drill presses, band saws, water jets, and other shop tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Set up and operate CNC and robotic fabrication equipment.
• Fit, assemble, tack-weld, and mechanically fasten sheet metal components.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and spot welding as required.
• Grind, sand, polish, and finish welds and surfaces to meet specifications.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, masking, sanding, or blasting.
• Mix and apply primers, coatings, and topcoats using spray equipment.
• Inspect fabricated and painted components for quality and perform rework or touch-ups as needed.
• Maintain accurate work orders, travelers, and inspection documentation.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Follow all Company, quality, and HSE policies and procedures, including Stop Work Authority.
• Support production schedules, continuous improvement, and zero-incident culture.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required with strong mechanical and math aptitude.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing and/or fabrication experience, preferred.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, surface preparation, and painting.
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and tape measures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including prolonged standing, bending, and regularly lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to meet applicable pre-employment requirements.
