Job Description
Skillforce is hiring sheet metal mechanics for commercial ductwork install in Richmond, VA. This is steady, ongoing project work on interior tenant buildout jobs, with weekly pay and a first shift schedule. We are bringing on experienced field installers who can hang, connect, and seal duct on commercial sites. Pay and Schedule $24 to $27 per hour, W-2, paid every week. Your rate depends on experience and demonstrated install skill. First shift with a standard morning start, Monday through Friday. The worksite is in Richmond off Midlothian Turnpike. Easy access from the south side, Chesterfield, and Petersburg. Responsibilities Install commercial HVAC ductwork in the field Hang and connect rectangular and spiral duct Set hangers, trapeze, all-thread, and strut Seam and seal duct, Pittsburgh and S-cleat Read mechanical drawings and field measure Qualifications 2 plus years commercial ductwork install Can read mechanical and HVAC drawings Own basic hand tools, snips and seamer Must pass drug screen and background check Authorized to work in the United States Benefits Weekly pay on a W-2 basis Medical, dental, and vision available Steady, ongoing project work year round First shift, no nights and no weekends
