- Are you someone who thrives on the challenge of crafting and molding metal to perfection?
Responsibilities:
1. Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, including ductwork, air handling units, VAV boxes, and fan power boxes. 2. Utilize a variety of tools and techniques such as slide and drive, snap lock, and TDF. 3. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products. 4. Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets, using gauges, templates, and scribes. 5. Convert blueprints into shop drawings to be followed in the construction or assembly of sheet metal products. 6. Select gauge and type of sheet metal according to product specifications. 7. Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, scales, and micrometer.Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic. 2. Proficiency in the use of tools and techniques such as slide and drive, snap lock, and TDF. 3. Extensive experience with ductwork, air handling units, VAV boxes, and fan power boxes. 4. Familiarity with commercial and industrial construction environments. 5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and convert them into detailed shop drawings. 6. Strong attention to detail and a high level of precision in work. 7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot on the job. 8. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and manipulate large, heavy pieces of metal. 9. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
