In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting photovoltaic (solar) systems on various sites, including commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of solar energy systems. You must have experience with Enphase, Solaredge and other inverter systems. Certifications are suggested. Responsibilities Install photovoltaic solar systems following electrical blueprints, schematics, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure compliance and safety. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for system setup and troubleshooting. Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on high voltage and low voltage systems to identify faults and implement effective repairs. Conduct system inspections, testing, and commissioning of photovoltaic installations on rooftops or ground-mounted sites. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and roofing equipment safely to complete installation tasks efficiently. Ensure all work adheres to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) electrical safety procedures and other relevant safety protocols. Collaborate with construction teams during site preparation, roofing, and fixture installation to facilitate seamless project execution. Skills Extensive experience with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems in renewable energy projects. Strong knowledge of NEC standards, NFPA 70 compliance, and electrical blueprint reading. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools and techniques. Skilled in photovoltaic system installation, including wiring, inverter setup, and system commissioning. Construction site experience with roofing, fixture installation, and outdoor work environments. Familiarity with working as a solar technician or commercial electrician with a focus on onshore renewable energy projects.
