Job Description

Position summary: As an Installer for Fortress Modular Walls, you will be responsible for the on-site installation of modular wall systems in healthcare environments. This position requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Installers must be able to read and interpret construction drawings, handle physical labor, and maintain a professional demeanor while representing the Fortress brand on job sites.
Location & Travel:
This is a U.S
  • based, field position.
Candidates may reside anywhere in the United States and must be willing to travel extensively nationwide. Essential duties & responsibilities: Install Fortress modular wall systems according to project specifications and installation manuals. Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and installation plans. Safely use hand and power tools to assemble wall panels, doors, frames, and accessories. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including daily reports and field changes. Communicate effectively with site supervisors, project managers, general contractors, and other trades. Ensure a clean, organized, and safe worksite in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards. Troubleshoot installation challenges and assist in on-site problem-solving. Assist with loading, unloading, and inventorying materials as needed. Travel to various project locations, including overnight stays when necessary. Education & special trainings: High school diploma or GED required. Qualifications & experience: 2+ years of construction, carpentry, or modular installation experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of construction tools and techniques. Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to travel as needed. OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus (or willingness to obtain). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented. Physical & mental requirements: Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work on ladders, and perform physical labor in varying site conditions.
