This is a seasonal, hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable with heights, and wants the opportunity to earn more based on performance. Previous Christmas light installation experience is preferred, but not required. Experience with ladders, roofing, construction, landscaping, or other home-service work is also a plus. We provide hands-on training and all installation equipment. Compensation This is a performance/commission-based position with a guaranteed minimum equivalent to $18/hour. Commission earnings will typically exceed the guaranteed minimum. Installers should generally expect to earn approximately $20

  • 25/hour , with strong performers having the opportunity to earn into the high $20s and potentially $30+/hour.

Responsibilities include installing professional Christmas lights, carrying and setting up ladders, working from roofs and ladders, loading and handling materials, troubleshooting installations, and helping complete each project efficiently and professionally. This is a physical, fast-paced outdoor job. Installers must be comfortable working at heights, including on one

  • and two-story homes and a variety of roof types.

Schedule The season runs approximately late September through mid-December. Typical hours are around 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. During peak season, expect approximately 40-50 hours per week , with some weekend availability required. Applicants must be able to commit to consistent full-time weekday availability throughout the season. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Access to a truck or SUV capable of transporting equipment and towing a light-duty trailer Comfortable working on ladders and roofs Able to lift and carry ladders, lighting equipment, and other materials Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Dependable and able to consistently arrive on time Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to follow installation and safety procedures Why Summit Lighting NC?
