Commercial Solar Installer

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Solar Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial solar photovoltaic systems on various types of rooftops and ground-mounted sites. Your expertise will help accelerate the transition to renewable energy by ensuring high-quality installations that meet safety standards and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative solar projects while contributing to a sustainable future. Working with PanelClaw Racking system is a must. Responsibilities Install solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, and electrical components following blueprints, schematics, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute installation plans. Connect high voltage and low voltage electrical systems safely, adhering to all safety protocols and electrical codes. Utilize hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and construction site machinery such as forklifts to complete installations efficiently. Perform fixture installation, wiring, grounding, and electrical testing to ensure system functionality and safety compliance. Conduct site assessments including roofing inspections and preparation to facilitate seamless installation processes. Collaborate with team members on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time while maintaining a safe work environment. Assist with plumbing tasks related to system drainage or water management as needed. Follow all safety procedures related to roofing, electrical work, and construction site operations to prevent accidents or injuries. Skills Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in electrical installation within construction environments. Strong knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, schematics, blueprints reading, and NEC standards. Hands-on experience with fixture installation, wiring methods, grounding techniques, and electrical testing procedures. Familiarity with roofing techniques relevant to solar panel installation on various roof types. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, forklifts, and other construction machinery safely and effectively. Construction site experience with an understanding of safety protocols and project workflows. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues quickly. $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
