Solar Service Technician Solar Liberty is seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical work, with a strong understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This position is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing solar energy systems at residential, commercial, and utility-scale sites. Field experience in electrical systems is highly preferred. A license is a plus but not required. Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the customer service department to ensure timely response and resolution to customer service inquiries and support requests
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar PV systems, including modules, inverters, racking, wiring, and monitoring systems
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues, system faults, and communication problems
• Conduct field inspections to verify system functionality and compliance with design specifications
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as multimeters and clamp meters
• Document all service and maintenance activities in work order systems
• Work closely with the operations and engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
• Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety protocols Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred
• Journeyman-level electrical experience highly preferred
• 3+ years of experience in electrical systems, with at least 1 year of experience in solar PV preferred
• Knowledge of solar energy systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, string sizing, and metering
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in outdoor conditions
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces Preferred Qualifications
• Journeyman-level electrical experience highly preferred
• Experience working with a variety of inverter and monitoring systems
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
