Solar Service Technician Solar Liberty is seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical work, with a strong understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This position is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing solar energy systems at residential, commercial, and utility-scale sites. Field experience in electrical systems is highly preferred. A license is a plus but not required. Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the customer service department to ensure timely response and resolution to customer service inquiries and support requests
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar PV systems, including modules, inverters, racking, wiring, and monitoring systems
Diagnose and resolve performance issues, system faults, and communication problems
Conduct field inspections to verify system functionality and compliance with design specifications
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as multimeters and clamp meters
Document all service and maintenance activities in work order systems
Work closely with the operations and engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety protocols Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred
Experience working with a variety of inverter and monitoring systems
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
NABCEP PV
Associate or Installer Certification
Familiarity with solar monitoring platforms and SCADA systems Compensation & Benefits
