The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of commercial solar installation, electrical systems, job-site safety, and construction practices. The Lead Installer will oversee daily installation activities, ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, and maintain high-quality workmanship while keeping projects on schedule. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise commercial solar installation crews in the field. Install commercial rooftop and ground-mount solar PV systems. Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, layouts, and installation plans. Perform racking, module, inverter, conduit, wiring, and equipment installation. Coordinate daily work assignments and ensure crews have the tools and materials needed. Verify installations are completed according to project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable electrical codes. Perform quality-control inspections throughout the installation process. Identify and resolve installation issues and communicate project needs to supervisors and project management. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, ladders, and other construction equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Train and mentor less-experienced installers and crew members. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Communicate effectively with project managers, electricians, subcontractors, customers, and other job-site personnel. Assist with troubleshooting and system commissioning as needed. Complete required daily reports, installation documentation, and quality-control paperwork. Qualifications Previous commercial solar installation experience required. Lead installer, foreman, or crew-lead experience preferred. Strong understanding of PV systems and installation practices. Ability to read electrical plans, blueprints, and construction drawings. Familiarity with electrical components, conduit, wiring, racking systems, inverters, and solar modules. Knowledge of OSHA and job-site safety requirements. Ability to work at heights and in outdoor conditions. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver solar equipment and materials. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
