LEAD GLAZER POSITION SUMMARY
The GRP Lead Glazer is responsible for delivering high-quality glazing installations that meet strict standards for precision, safety, durability, and aesthetic excellence. This role leads field execution for glazing projects, ensuring that installations are completed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with project specifications and timelines. The Lead Glazer serves as the on-site authority for glazing systems, ensuring that every installation contributes to the company's reputation for craftsmanship and reliability.

Consistently delivers glazing installations that meet or exceed quality and specification standards Leads crews that execute efficiently, safely, and with minimal rework Maintains strong adherence to project schedules and installation timelines Demonstrates expert-level proficiency across multiple glazing systems Ensures job sites are organized, safe, and inspection-ready at all times Builds a reliable, skilled crew capable of executing with minimal supervision Proactively identifies and resolves field issues to prevent project delays Contributes to improved installation processes and productivity standards
OBJECTIVES
Deliver installations on or ahead of project schedule Maintain installation quality with < ___% rework or defect rate Ensure 100% compliance with safety standards and zero recordable incidents Achieve ≥ __% adherence to project specifications and design requirements Improve crew productivity by ≥ __% through effective leadership and coordination Maintain clean, organized, and inspection-ready job sites of projects Reduce material waste and damage by ≥ __% Achieve consistent positive feedback from project managers and clients Ensure accurate interpretation and execution of shop drawings and plans Minimize installation delays caused by field errors or miscommunication Train and develop crew members to improve overall team capability Maintain equipment and tools in ready-to-use condition with zero preventable downtime

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required 3-5+ years of experience in glazing or related construction trade Proven experience leading crews or acting as a senior installer/lead Strong understanding of glazing systems, installation methods, and safety standards Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications Valid driver's license with clean driving record
OSHA 10/30
certification preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy glass materials (50-100+ lbs with assistance) Ability to work at heights, including ladders, scaffolding, and lifts Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods Comfortable working in varying weather and job site conditions Ability to safely use PPE and specialized equipment for extended durations
