Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Granite Countertop Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately measuring, fabricating, and installing high-quality granite countertops in residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets precise specifications, adheres to safety standards, and exceeds customer expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship while contributing to beautiful, functional spaces. Duties Measure and interpret dimensional measurements accurately using tape measures and other hand tools to ensure precise fabrication and installation of granite countertops. Follow blueprint specifications and construction plans meticulously to align with project requirements. Fabricate countertops by cutting, shaping, and polishing granite slabs using power tools and hand tools, ensuring a flawless finish. Install countertops securely on cabinets or designated surfaces, utilizing proper techniques for leveling, caulking, and sealing to prevent future damage or leaks. Use construction management skills to coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of installations. Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to verify adherence to safety standards, blueprint specifications, and customer satisfaction. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling construction debris, tools, and materials throughout each project. Requirements Proven experience in tile masonry, carpentry, or construction site work with a focus on building material installation. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints. Knowledge of construction estimating, inspection procedures, and remodeling processes is highly desirable. Familiarity with plumbing, electrical systems, fixture installation, and general building codes enhances your versatility on the job site. Ability to use ladders safely and effectively for elevated installations such as wall-mounted countertops or cabinetry. Experience with fabrication techniques including cutting, polishing, caulking, and finishing granite or other stone materials. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about project progress and expectations. Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and adherence to OSHA standards is essential. Additional skills such as gutter installation, stucco work, framing carpentry, concrete finishing or welding are a plus but not required.
