Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Assembly / Paint Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations across assembly and paint functions. This is a newly created role driven by internal promotion and will play a key role in maintaining production continuity, resolving shop floor challenges, and supporting overall operational efficiency. Reporting to the General Assembly Manager, this individual will lead a team of approximately 12-15 employees and serve as a hands-on leader ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. Core Objective Own execution of daily assembly and paint operations Ensure smooth production flow with minimal downtime Act as the primary problem solver for shop floor disruptions Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead assembly and paint operations on a daily basis Manage a team of approximately 12-15 direct reports Troubleshoot and resolve real-time production issues, including: BOM vs. drawing discrepancies Documentation gaps Shop floor questions and workflow disruptions Maintain production flow and ensure deadlines are met Partner with engineering and operations to improve: Documentation accuracy Feedback loops between design and production Promote a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment Support continuous improvement efforts related to workflow and efficiency Qualifications Minimum 2-year degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred (flexible with strong experience) Proven experience leading hourly manufacturing teams Strong blueprint reading ability Experience with CAD tools such as: Autodesk Inventor or similar platforms Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on the shop floor Ideal Candidate Profile Hands-on leader with a practical, common-sense approach to problem solving Strong awareness of shop floor dynamics and team engagement Team-oriented, approachable, and able to build trust quickly Effective communicator with the ability to: Manage conflict Maintain morale Keep teams aligned and productive
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
