  • Temporary, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking an Assistant Director of Education to help lead our program's day to day routine at Sweet Pea Childcare.
This role involves planning and overseeing curriculum work with full-time teachers, organization of student and staff files and documentation required by state licensing, will take part in the hiring process as needed, and of course overseeing educational initiatives that inspire and empower learners of all ages. We work with 3 months to 6 years at Sweet Pea Childcare. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for education, leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment. We are a nature based and Montessori influenced program so experience in these areas of ECE is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate. As a key member of the leadership team, you will drive innovation, ensure program excellence, and support the growth of both students and staff. Support is key in good staff culture. Duties Implement our curriculum aligned with organizational goals and educational standards Manage and supervise educators and volunteers to maintain high-quality instruction and support of staff, communication is key Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for teaching staff to foster continuous improvement Represent the organization as the professionals we are as ECE educators Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, state licensing rules and safety regulations. Requirements An BS, or BA in Education (preferred), or a CDA certificate, Associates in Early Childhood Education Strong background and confidence with administering support with curriculum design and questions/ support of staff Classroom teaching experience coupled with a genuine passion for working with students of various ages, we love our sweet peas and need someone who loves the value of of ECE field Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Leadership qualities that inspire collaboration, innovation, and excellence in education
