We are seeking an efficient and professional Class A CDL Driver for a high-priority, "no-touch" shellfish transport role. The Class A CDL driver position specializes in the time-sensitive transport of Atlantic Aqua Farm's premier shellfish. This is a dedicated "no-touch" position where your primary focus is the safe, professional operation of refrigerated tractor-trailers. You will navigate a variety of routes, including local Maine day trips, Mid-coast coastal runs, and regional hauls to the Boston metropolitan area. This position offers a flat-rate per-trip pay structure, providing transparency and rewarding drivers for their expertise in navigating Maine and regional Northeast routes.
Key Responsibilities Professional Transit:
Safely transport high-value seafood cargo between Mid-coast landing sites, including our Maine and Boston distribution hubs.
No-Touch Freight:
Focus entirely on driving and logistics; our warehouse and dock teams handle all loading and unloading of product.
Reefer Management:
Monitor and maintain refrigerated trailer temperatures to ensure the integrity of live and processed shellfish throughout the "cold chain."
Flexible Routing:
Manage a diverse schedule that includes predictable local Maine loops and same-day regional runs to Boston.
Safety & Compliance:
Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate ELD logs in strict accordance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
Coastal Navigation:
Comfortably maneuver Class A combinations through Maine's unique coastal geography and urban Boston traffic. Qualifications & Requirements At least twenty-one years old (18 years is acceptable if working intrastate and not handling hazmat)
License:
Active Maine CDL Class A with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Medical:
Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
Must Reliability:
Ability to adhere to strict delivery windows dictated by seafood auctions and wholesale market hours.
Reliability:
Punctuality is critical to meet seafood auction and wholesale delivery windows.
Tech:
Proficient with ELD software and GPS routing tools.
Drug & Alcohol Compliance Pre-Employment Testing:
Passing a DOT-mandated drug screen is a condition of employment.
Clearinghouse Query:
Have a clean record in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
Ongoing Testing:
Participation in random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing is required.
Compensation & Route Style Per-Trip Pay:
Earn a guaranteed flat rate for every completed run—no tracking hourly logs or fluctuating mileage pay.

Same-day regional runs to our Boston hub.
Mid-coast Loop:
Coastal Maine pickups and transfers.
Local Maine Day Trips:
Reliable, home-daily routes within the state.
No-Touch Freight:
Focus 100% on the road. Our dock teams handle all loading and unloading of shellfish crates and pallets.
Shift Schedule:
Monday through Friday (occasional weekends as needed
