Job Description
- Full-time, Saturday
- Wednesday so coverage stays consistent and sustainable
- During your assigned blocks you lead shift command, staff direction, resident oversight, and escalation $100 move-in bonus when you complete a resident's move-in paperwork and they stay 30 days (split per move-in between House Manager and Assistant Manager — only one bonus per move-in) What You'll Do Shift Execution & Staff Direction
- Lead assigned shifts with clear task delegation and follow-through
- Run shift huddles: assignments, resident priorities, safety reminders
- Ensure staff complete rounds, ADLs, meals, engagement, housekeeping, documentation
- Hold a calm, organized, respectful environment for residents and staff Resident Care Oversight
- Make sure residents receive care aligned with their needs, routines, and dignity
- Perform rounds to verify comfort, safety, hygiene, hydration, and engagement
- Identify changes in condition and escalate promptly to the House Manager
- Support behavior management with redirection, routine, and de-escalation Documentation & Medication Process
- Keep shift documentation, logs, and eMAR entries accurate and on time
- Order medication refills 5 days in advance — no gaps
- Lead weekly Wednesday medication audits with the House Manager (split carts)
- Run end-of-month medication audits for the upcoming month
- Reinforce "chart only what you actually did" — no pre-charting, no guessing Incident Response & Coverage
- Respond to incidents: stabilize → notify → document → follow up
- Complete Incident Reports for the House Manager to review and submit
- Help cover call-offs and staffing gaps during your assigned shifts
- Assist with onboarding, training reinforcement, and attendance standards Who You Are
- Calm, steady leader who can direct staff and keep the building running smoothly
- Strong communicator under pressure — focuses on behavior, not personality
- Reliable follow-through, high standards, detail-oriented documentation
- Confident enough to lead, wise enough to know when to escalate
- Team-first mindset — consistent across rotations so staff hear "one leadership voice" Lead or mentor experience preferred (or strong demonstrated leadership)
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Ability to work rotating weekends and a flexible coverage schedule Preferred
- Michigan AFC or licensed residential care experience
- Dementia care and behavior support training
- Experience with audits, incident reporting, and staff coaching Why Ridgeway
