Job Description
This is a seasonal position The Assistant Manager•Delivery Captain assists in overseeing the boat rental and pro shop operation. This position also specializes in and executes all on water and local lake boat rental deliveries. This position requires strong organizational and logistical skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Boat Rentals:
Assist customers pre and post rental processes, ensure all check out/in procedures, and boat orientation processes are followed Oversee all incoming leads•via phone, email, walk up, text, and CRM. Ensure leads are responded to and followed up with promptly and per the set processes Provide thorough boat rental orientations, answer customer questions, conduct drivers tests, and ensure customers are comfortable and safe prior to handing over the keys to the boat Help train, oversee, and assist with rental orientations conducted by staff to ensure all rental orientation processes, procedures and expectations are followed Ability to demonstrate the proper use of all rental equipment and boats Help ensure boats are kept up with their preventative maintenance schedules such as oil changes Follow rental return processes, act upon any discovered boat damages per set procedures Oversee, manage, and safely execute all boat deliveries to other Northern Michigan lakes Oversee, assign, and assist with regular and thorough rental boat deep cleaning upon the return of every boat rental. Ensure boat rental cleanliness is up to Legacy's standards.Pro Shop:
Learn all pro shop products and acquire the ability to talk about all products/teach a customer about what we sell Maintain accurate inventory: receiving, transfers, audits, loss prevention Engage with customers, ask open ended questions, make a connection Assist with stock, product offerings, product knowledge Accurately manage deposits and reports Accurately ring up sales, returns, warranty, and exchanges. Receive payment and provide correct change and receipts General/Operations Help oversee and initiate business growth and development through partnership relationships, customer attraction and retention, and value Assist in controlling and minimizing expenses such as, but not limited to labor Take care of customers needs, ensure their experience is positive through attention to detail, communication, and finding ways to go above and beyond Communicate thoroughly with management, staff, and customers in writing, in person, and via phone communication Ensure the entire operation is tidy, organized, and presentable at all times Attend local events and promote the operation Uphold all laws, standards and regulations that apply to the businesses Maintain a safe work environment through training, audits, and continuous improvements Other tasks as requested by supervisor Knowledge, Skills, Abilities To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Communication:

Ability to run throughout the waterfront and marina, including on docks to ensure customers are attended to in time as they approach the dock, rental area, or any other area of the waterfrontSchedule Flexibility:

The noise level in the work environment is quiet to medium loud. Work is done in an office, on a boat, on the dock. Work will be mostly performed outside and on the water, in rain, wind, sun, and other types of weather.Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee regularly required to stand and walk and run. Employee regularly uses hands and fingers to touch, feel, handle. Employee regularly stoops, kneels, bend at the waist, and reaches. Employee is required to speak and hear. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds on occasion.Schedule:
this position is scheduled on a weekly basis. Shifts are traffic and weather dependent. It is expected that the position is flexible and understanding that in cases of poor weather and low traffic, shifts may be modified and/or canceled. Occasionally, the position may be needed at other Legacy waterfront locations.Pay:
