The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland and Holy Name High School are pleased to accept applications for the position of Annual Fund Manager. Founded in 1914, Holy Name High School is a diocesan-sponsored, co-educational, comprehensive high school with a college preparatory emphasis and is committed to leading young adults to Christ by educating them in mind, body, and spirit. With a population of more than 650 students in grades nine through twelve, Holy Name High School provides young men and women with a nurturing and supportive educational environment in which to grow academically, spiritually, socially, and morally. The Assistant Principal of Student Life is the primary leader and decision-maker for student conduct, campus supervision, and day-to-day student life operations. This role requires strong judgment, consistency, initiative, and the ability to act independently while collaborating closely with the administrative team. The Assistant Principal of Student Life is expected to anticipate needs, implement systems, and ensure follow-through rather than rely on direction for routine responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Mission & Culture Leadership Model and promote the Catholic identity and mission of Holy Name High School. Establish and sustain a culture rooted in respect, accountability, and personal responsibility. Lead with visible presence throughout the school day, during after school supervision, and at major school events. Balance accountability with dignity, emphasizing both high standards and grace. Serve as a daily visible presence, building positive student relationships. Lead faculty development in behavior management and student support. Analyze behavioral trends and lead proactive culture-building initiatives. Communicate discipline and safety updates with the Principal. Student Conduct & Accountability Serve as the primary administrator responsible for student discipline and behavioral systems. Maintain disciplinary records and use data to identify trends. Ensure fair, consistent, and mission-aligned implementation of policies. Maintain accurate documentation and communication with families. Monitor attendance, tardiness, and behavioral trends to address concerns proactively; Develop plans to assist students in addressing attendance issues. Lead investigations and handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism. Coordinate the school's Drug Test program. Promote student education in safety, mental health, and ethical decision-making. Support substance prevention and wellness programs. Guide students in responsible digital behavior and social media use. Manage operational logistics such as student parking and locker assignments. Ensure clear communication of safety expectations to students and staff. Stay up-to-date on best practices in school discipline and safety, bringing innovative solutions to the school community. Campus Safety & Operational Leadership Design and maintain clear systems for supervision during the school day, after school, and at school-sponsored events. Lead all emergency preparedness planning and ensure compliance with state safety requirements. Facilitate and record drills including active shooter, fire, and tornado drills. Lead efforts to secure grant funding to enhance safety and security. Coordinate supervision coverage and ensure consistent expectations across campus. Monitor school security cameras as necessary to address concerns. Oversee safety and order at Masses, assemblies, dances, athletic events, and other gatherings. Develop and distribute alternate schedules as necessary (eg Rally Schedule, Early Release Schedule, Mass Day Schedule, etc.) Student Leadership & Engagement Support and develop student leadership structures. Mentor student leaders to positively shape school culture. Collaborate with Campus Ministry, the Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, Athletics, and faculty moderators to ensure co-curricular alignment with the school's mission. Assist Activity Moderators in supporting student participation in extracurricular activities. Collaboration & Communication Partner with faculty to ensure consistent classroom management expectations. Communicate effectively with faculty, students, and families regarding academic policies and expectations. Serve as a contributing member of the administrative team. Assist in the annual review and implementation of school handbooks and policies. Contribute to school calendar planning and program coordination. Coordinate closely with the Guidance Department, Campus Ministry, Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Athletic Department to align student life efforts with broader school initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
QUALIFICATIONS
Commitment to the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church and to best practices in Catholic education. Familiarity with the teachings, traditions, and policies, which apply to formation and development of high school-aged youth. The position requires VIRTUS certification and FBI/BCI background check. Master's degree in Administration or Education or a related field. Ohio Department of Education (ODE)
License:
High School Principal, High School (7-12) Teaching License, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of teaching or administrative experience with demonstrated leadership in student activities, campus life, or school culture. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, faculty, and staff. Experience in coordinating student life programs, including clubs, events, retreats, service initiatives, and leadership development. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and follow-through. Experience collaborating with guidance counselors or support staff to address behavioral challenges. Experience with student data systems and academic tracking. Highly motivated and able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Self-starter; able to work independently.
