Assistant Superintendent Indian River Golf Club

The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and grounds crew to execute all aspects of day-to-day operations on I.R.G.C property. Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Course set-up, pesticide and fertilizer applications, irrigation repair and maintenance, staff supervision, bunker maintenance, occasional mowing, and regular renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, work ethic, and communication skills. This position is very hands on and regular physical activity is required. A Master Plan has been established in recent years, and in-house renovation projects are regularly executed by the Superintendent, Assistant, and grounds crew.

Qualifications:

2yr certificate or 4yr turf degree preferred but not required. Michigan Commercial applicators license required or obtained ASAP after hiring. Valid Michigan driver's license required.

Experience:

Multiple years of experience working on all aspects of a golf property. Prior experience as an Assistant or 2nd Assistant preferred. A candidate with extensive experience in the landscaping industry and a strong knowledge of golf will be considered. Mechanical inclination is a plus.

Additional Information:

Indian River Golf Club is an 18 hole golf course with a driving range and practices areas located in Indian River Michigan. The club is semi - private with both extensive member leagues and events as well as significant public play. The club just recently celebrated its 100-year anniversary and continues to grow and evolve.

$42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
