Biology Location Main Campus Open Date May 19, 2026 Deadline Jun 01, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The Department of Biology at Georgetown University invites applications for a non-tenure-line position to begin in August 2026. We seek a science educator to actively collaborate with current faculty in the delivery and administration of our undergraduate curriculum. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal. Non-tenure-line teaching positions are nine-month appointments in which effort is devoted primarily to instruction, but departmental service and professional development are also expected. The teaching load is 2:2 or 2 courses per semester, with teaching responsibilities primarily at the undergraduate level. We are looking for candidates who have expertise in the following areas: genetics, molecular and cellular biology, developmental biology, biochemistry. Teaching faculty in Biology are expected to teach in our larger introductory courses, to include our year-long introductory biology sequence, as well as courses for majors or non-majors in such areas as genetics, molecular biology, cellular biology, development, and/or biochemistry. Qualifications A Ph.D. in Biology is required prior to the appointment start date. Candidates must show strong promise of excellence in teaching.
