Position Overview Ben Ladage Auctions is seeking a dependable and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Auction Pickup & Customer Service Associate. This position assists during auction pickup days, helping customers locate and load purchased items while ensuring an organized and efficient pickup experience. This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent part-time work in a fast-paced and active environment. The position primarily involves afternoon to early evening shifts on Mondays through Thursdays, with most scheduled hours being approximately 12:00 PM-6:30 PM. Employees are provided with a work schedule in advance, though occasional flexibility may be needed based on auction schedules and workload. Additional hours and opportunities in other auction-related roles may become available for candidates interested in expanded responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Assist customers during auction pickup days Locate and distribute purchased auction items Help organize and stage items for customer pickups Assist customers with loading purchases when needed Provide friendly and professional customer service Maintain an organized and efficient pickup environment Work alongside team members to ensure smooth auction operations Perform additional auction-related duties as needed Qualifications Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and willingness to help customers and team members Ability to lift and move items weighing approximately 30-50 lbs with assistance when needed Ability to stand, walk, and stay active throughout shifts Previous customer service, warehouse, moving, retail, or auction experience is helpful but not required Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Flexible part-time scheduling Supportive team environment Opportunity to work in a unique and fast-paced auction atmosphere
