In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition after accidents or damage, ensuring high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will be essential to deliver exceptional results. This position offers an exciting opportunity for those passionate about automotive restoration and skilled craftsmanship to thrive in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Assess damaged vehicles to determine necessary repairs and create detailed repair plans. Perform collision repairs including panel replacement, dent removal, and structural straightening using hand tools and power tools. Conduct auto body repairs utilizing MIG welding, sheet metal work, soldering, and auto painting techniques such as airless paint spraying. Replace or repair auto glass components with precision, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Utilize auto estimating software to accurately document repair procedures and communicate with customers regarding repair progress. Maintain mechanical knowledge for vehicle diagnostics, minor mechanical repairs, and general vehicle maintenance tasks. Handle heavy lifting safely while working with sheet metal, frame straightening equipment, and other heavy components. Ensure all repairs adhere to dealership or industry standards for quality, safety, and durability. Skills Proven background in auto body repair is highly preferred. Proficiency in MIG welding, fabrication, soldering, and the use of various hand tools and power tools. Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance. Experience with auto glass replacement and auto estimating software is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on complex repairs involving sheet metal and structural components. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repair processes and timelines.
