Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional service to our customers by applying your mechanical knowledge and technical skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse vehicle systems, including diesel engines, transmissions, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, shocks & struts, and steering systems. Service vehicles with oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and tire services to maintain safety and performance standards. Repair and maintain engines and powertrain components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs, welding, and maintenance tasks. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems. Perform auto repairs ensure vehicles meet safety standards before returning to customers. Explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance recommendations. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience in a fast-paced automotive environment. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes, especially GM vehicles or similar brands. Expertise in automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools required for comprehensive vehicle repair. Knowledge of diesel engine repair as well as oil change procedures and tire service techniques. Familiarity with ADAS technology integration and calibration processes. Ability to read technical manuals accurately and follow detailed repair procedures precisely. Ability to communicate technical information clearly. Valid certifications in automotive electrical systems or relevant specialties are a plus; ongoing training preferred.
