Automotive Mechanic

We are looking for a skilled automotive mechanic to perform diagnostics and repairs on passenger cars and trucks. Repairs include; brake jobs, engine and transmission replacement, cylinder head gaskets, timing belts, wate pumps, differentials and suspension as well as general maintenance such as oil changes, fluid changes and tune ups. Mechanic must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems based on symptoms and trouble codes. Must have great attention to detail as well as follow all safety precautions. Need to be able to use wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical issues. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues and complete repairs on engines, electrical problems Inspect and replace brake pads and machine rotors, perform oil changes and tune-ups Test drive vehicles before and after repair Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability and safety Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner Perform thorough maintenance on cars and trucks Replenish all vehicle fluids Provide proven experience as mechanic and provide own tools Undertake other duties as assigned Skills Knowledge of passenger cars and trucks electrical and other systems as well as their components Aptitude in using various hand and power tools as well as precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers) Ability to use and navigate internet Ability to follow established procedures and practices as well as read instructions and wiring diagrams A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines Great communication skills and problem solving ability Good physical strength and stamina High School diploma or vocational school with ASE certifications Prior mechanic work experience is mandatory Provide references
