Automotive Refinish Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Refinish Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert auto body repair, painting, and finishing techniques. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle meets our high standards for quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Prepare vehicles for refinishing by sanding, masking, and applying primer using hand tools and power tools. Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and welding to restore vehicle structural integrity. Apply paint using airless paint spraying equipment, ensuring smooth, even coats with attention to detail. Buff, polish, and detail finished surfaces to achieve a flawless appearance. Replace auto glass and perform minor mechanical repairs as needed to support the refinishing process. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair progress and expectations. Qualifications Proven experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or related automotive restoration roles; dealership experience is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform minor repairs and vehicle maintenance tasks. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software. Knowledge of auto glass installation, detailing techniques, and auto restoration processes. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and work in physically demanding environments. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude. Prior experience with auto estimating or working in a dealership setting is advantageous. Certification or training in auto body repair or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
