Automotive Service Advisor

Stevenson Hendrick Toyota in Jacksonville has an immediate opening for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor. Our ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience Experience Previous dealership experience is highly preferred, with a solid understanding of dealership computer software Proven track record in auto service advising or related roles within automotive repair shops or dealerships. Hands-on mechanic experience or automotive diagnostics knowledge is advantageous. Familiarity with auto estimating software, service writing procedures, and automotive repair processes. Experience in upselling services while maintaining high customer satisfaction standards. Excellent communication skills combined with a customer-focused approach. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs. Interact with technicians and communicate findings clearly to customers. Prepare detailed service estimates using auto estimating software, including parts, labor, and additional repairs. Recommend appropriate services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, alignments, suspension work, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs. Upsell additional maintenance or repair services that enhance vehicle performance and safety. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services. Maintain accurate service writing records and update customers on progress throughout the repair process. Handle cash transactions professionally and ensure proper documentation of all financial exchanges. Stay informed about the latest automotive diagnostics techniques and repair procedures.
