Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced dealership team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs. Your enthusiasm and mechanical knowledge will help guide customers through the service process, ensuring their experience is smooth, transparent, and satisfying. By effectively communicating technical information and recommending appropriate services, you will play a key role in building lasting customer relationships and driving service department success. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive repair, sales, and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Explain repair procedures, estimates, and recommended services clearly and transparently Prepare detailed service write-ups, estimates, and work orders using auto estimating software Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission repairs to maximize customer value Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation for all service activities Maintain thorough knowledge of dealership services including auto body repair, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and other specialty areas Skills Proven dealership experience with a solid understanding of automotive service advising. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience preferred Expertise in automotive diagnostics and repair procedures across various systems such as transmissions, suspensions, brakes, tires, and oil changes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing processes Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust Familiarity with automotive sales processes and automobile sales techniques Experience handling cash transactions accurately and managing service department operations effectively Join our team if you're passionate about automobiles, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and enjoy helping customers keep their vehicles running smoothly! Pay:
