Automotive Technician

Job Description:

Heights Nissan is seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance with specific experience working within a dealership setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic services and troubleshooting to identify the root cause of vehicle issues. Conduct vehicle inspections and routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks. Execute repair work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. Communicate with service advisors regarding vehicle inspection findings and required repairs. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing reliable and timely service. Stay up-to-date with technical knowledge and advancements by participating in ongoing training and educational opportunities. Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards and regulations. Follow dealership and manufacturer service guidelines and quality standards.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school certification or degree in automotive repair is a plus. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician in a dealership environment. ASE certification is preferred. Proficiency with automotive diagnostic equipment and tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
