Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a focus on GM vehicles. This role requires proficiency in automotive electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle types, including diesel engines. A commitment to excellent customer service is essential as you will interact with clients to understand their vehicle issues and provide effective solutions. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on GM vehicles and other makes as needed. Diagnose automotive electrical systems and mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools. Conduct diesel engine repairs, ensuring all work meets industry standards. Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively to align, adjust, and repair vehicle components. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training. Qualifications Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role, preferably in a dealership setting. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and mechanical principles. Experience with diesel engine repair is highly desirable. Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair software. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex automotive issues. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. A valid driver's license is required; ASE certification is a plus.
