Automotive Technician/Mechanic (ASE certs a plus)

Prestige Automotive Group is seeking automotive technicians for both of our dealerships, Mercedes-Benz of St. Clair Shores and Prestige Cadillac of Warren . Mercedes-Benz of St. Clair Shores is seeking an experienced automotive technician with over 5 years of experience. MB experience preferred.

Paid Holidays & Vacation Essential Duties:

Performs work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts. Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Examines the assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Communicates with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Road tests vehicles. Operates all tools and equipment safely. Prestige Cadillac is actively seeking an elite master GM-certified technician who consistently performs at a high level and takes pride in their craft. Sells lubrication, safety inspection, and other related services. Maintains related records on regular customers, following up periodically with telephone, mail, or personal reminders. Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replenishes as necessary. Checks tire pressure and adds air if needed. Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts. Examines the assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Communicates with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Road tests vehicles. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor. Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies the service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Keeps shop area neat and clean. Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Operates all tools and equipment safely.
