Azure Integration Engineer (Lead) - Contract Overview We are seeking a Lead Azure Integration Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity. This role will focus on designing and building scalable, event-driven integration solutions on Azure. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Azure Functions, distributed processing, and modern cloud architecture patterns. Key Responsibilities Design and develop Azure Durable Functions using orchestrator and activity patterns Build scalable, cloud-native solutions using .NET 8 (Isolated Worker model) Convert legacy PowerShell scripts into stateless, production-grade Azure Functions Implement event-driven architectures using Azure Event Hubs and related services Develop and optimize data ingestion patterns, including watermark-based change detection and parallel processing Ensure system reliability through robust observability, including logging, monitoring, retry logic, and error handling (App Insights) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement integration strategies Provide technical leadership and best practices for Azure-based integrations

Requirements:

Proven experience designing and implementing Azure-based integration solutions Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Durable Functions and .NET (C#) Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture Solid understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and cloud-native design patterns Experience with Azure Event Hubs or similar messaging/streaming platforms Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Application Insights) Ability to work independently in a client-facing, fast-paced environment
