As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) you will implement highly-individualized treatment plans that use evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). As you implement these plans each day, you will get to support children with developmental disabilities, including autism, achieve meaningful progress, improve their quality of life, and have the joyful, playful childhoods they deserve! Your energetic and compassionate approach will help foster positive behavior change, promote independence, and enhance daily functioning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children while also developing your skills in behavioral analysis! If you are not yet an RBT - that's okay too! We provide paid training consistent with updated RBT requirements from the BACB and can support you in passing the exam! Full-time RBTs are scheduled for a minimum of 32 hours per week, regardless of cancelations. Part-time BT/RBT schedules are available ranging from 10.5 hours per week to 27 hours per week. Responsibilities Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions based on established treatment plans utilizing principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) Collect and record data on client goals, behaviors, progress, and response to interventions with precision and accuracy Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to promote independence Implement behavior management strategies with compassion and fidelity to the treatment plan in order to reinforce positive, replacement behaviors and reduce behaviors that interfere with learning Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding medical records and documentation Collaborate with team members based on ongoing data analysis and client needs, demonstrating professionalism and strong communication skills Support individual client learning during a variety of activities, including adaptive daily living tasks, group learning opportunities, play and leisure activities, communication, and adaptive behaviors in various settings Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred but not required if the candidate has as Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a related field AND/OR is currently enrolled in at least 6 hours of relevant coursework Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and previous ABA experience is preferred but not required Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain meticulous records in compliance with healthcare standards Passion for working in behavioral health or special education environments with a patient-centered approach Open-minded approach with a willingness and desire to learn This role is ideal for compassionate individuals eager to support growth and development using evidence-based interventions.
