Bakery Cleaner/Maintenance Wadena, MN 56482 From $18 an hour - Full-time From $18 an hour - Full-time Bakery Maintenance Job Description You will be responsible for an array of duties such as repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of all bakery equipment. Receiving freight, using power equipment to complete tasks, and working with various tool to complete projects as needed. As well as some cleaning and routine maintenance of equipment and the over all facility. Key Job Responsibilities of the Maintenance Position include : Maintains bakery equipment and minor facilities work Implements newly acquired equipment into production Retro-fit, repair and rebuild equipment/components Utilize mechanical and troubleshooting skills for manufacturing equipment Troubleshoot AC & DC electrical power - single & 3-phase work with company electrician to complete projects safely Strong mechanical ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment or any facility maintenance needs. Supports General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives, Good Manufacturing Practices. Conducts "Pre-Flight" checkout of operating systems prior to start-up of the line or after repair to ensure equipment is working properly Capable of repairing and troubleshooting most bakery equipment and systems. Participates in root cause problem solving Capable of performing preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance with technical assistance if required. Provides direct support and works cooperatively with production and sanitation associates. Promotes a strong teamwork environment Electrical knowledge is a plus Job requirements and qualifications: Ability to lift up to 60lbs without assistance Bending, twisting, lifting above your head, lifting to shoulder level, kneeling, stooping, lifting from the floor, squat or sit. Be able to grip or grasp items between 15lbs to 30lbs and move them without assistance. Use power equipment, lifts or ladders as needed Ability to maintain consistent work habits Ability to adhere to the attendance policy Ability to work in cool or warm work environments as needed Ability to push/pull 50lbs or more Basic math/measurement skills required Ability to stand or be in one position for long periods of time. Ability to switch tasks and prioritize projects as needed Ability to follow the Food Safety and government required food practices Ability to follow reporting procedures for electrical and equipment safety Basic reading and writing skills required Repetitive wrist and hand movements Ability to work with outside contractors to make needed repairs.
