As a Barback, you will play a crucial role in supporting bartenders and ensuring that our bar operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for the food and beverage industry who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Assist bartenders in preparing drinks and serving customers promptly. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces. Stock and replenish supplies such as ice, garnishes, and beverages as needed. Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately for transactions. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Support food preparation tasks as required, adhering to food handling safety standards. Assist with banquet setups and breakdowns when necessary. Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods. A clean and organized approach to work, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
