Barista

Overview We are seeking a hard working and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in our shop, preparing high-quality beverages and providing outstanding customer service. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using a POS system. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies; report any shortages to management. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards while preparing food items. Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and foster repeat business. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Requirements Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with retail math and basic math skills for handling transactions effectively. Experience using POS systems. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and an understanding of different coffee varieties is desirable. Willingness to learn about the specialty coffee industry. Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor to assist customers effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness.
