Batch Plant Operator / Shop Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, "get-it-done" individual to join our team in a dual-capacity role. Your time will be split between precision work in the Concrete Batch Plant and hands-on grit in the Maintenance Shop and Yard. This isn't a desk job. You'll be toggling between technical computer-aided batching and heavy-duty equipment maintenance. We value quality above all else; we need someone who takes pride in doing the job right the first time.

Key Responsibilities Batch Plant Operation :

Use specialized software to monitor and operate the batching equipment, ensuring precise mixes and timely loading.

Shop Assistance :

Assist with the repair, greasing, and preventative maintenance of trucks, mixers, and heavy machinery.

Yard Maintenance :

Keep the facility organized and safe. This includes managing stockpiles, cleaning equipment, and general "groundskeeping" of an industrial site.

Quality Control :

Monitor material consistency and ensure all output meets our high standards. Physical Requirements & Capabilities This position is physically demanding and requires a high level of fitness and mobility:

Heavy Lifting:

Must be able to lift and move heavy items consistently throughout the shift.

Mobility:

Must be able to climb up and down ladders and onto equipment with ease.

Stamina:

Ability to stand, bend, and perform manual labor for extended periods.

Weather Tolerance:

Must be willing to work outdoors in all elements (heat, cold, rain).

You are a hard worker who doesn't mind getting your hands dirty and can thrive in all-weather elements (rain, heat, or cold).

Tech Savvy:

Light computer skills are a must. You don't need to be a programmer, but you must be comfortable navigating software interfaces to run the plant.

Safety First :

A disciplined approach to following safety protocols in a high-activity environment.

Availability :

Flexibility is key. Hours fluctuate based on the season and project load. You must be willing to work occasional Saturdays and night shifts as needed. Bonus Points (Preferred but not required)

CDL License:

Help us move equipment or materials when things get busy.

Welding/Fabrication:

Experience with a torch or welder for equipment repairs is a huge plus.

Mechanical Knowledge:

Familiarity with diesel engines or hydraulic systems. Compensation & Benefits After a successful 90-day probationary period, you will be eligible for: 40 Hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) $500/
