Under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), this position is responsible for carrying out individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans, which could include teaching various skill building or behavior reduction techniques with children and young adults. They will also assist with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), collect data and participate in weekly to bi-weekly clinical supervision with the supervising LBA. This is a part-time or full-time position with varied hours based on client needs.Essential Job Duties:
Provide a positive and nurturing environment for children and their families. Provide ABA therapy sessions focused on building skills and reducing challenging behaviors. Work 1-1 with clients following individualized ABA treatment plans and behavior intervention plans for children/adults with autism in the clinic and/or home settings. Collect and log daily progress data to track development and outcomes. Support LBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans. Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors. Maintain clear lines of communication with families, supervisors, and other applicable parties. Participate in consultation and meeting sessions. Receive regular supervision and mentorship from a LBA to ensure high-quality services. Knowledge of typical growth and development and the impact of the developmental disabilities on the individual and his/her family. Has basic knowledge of alternative communication devices. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records related to client progress and treatment outcomes. Conducts all interactions within current best practices and ethical guidelines. Maintain client confidentiality within the regulations of HIPPA/FERPA and agency guidelines. Any other duty as assigned by your supervisor.Skills:
Demonstrate knowledge of basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Natural ability to connect with children and parents Computer skills (Central Reach, Outlook, et.) Good time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skillsMinimum Education Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalentMinimum Experience Required:
At least 3 years' experience working with children and families preferred.License/Registration/ Certifications Required:
NYS driver's license Registered Behavior Technician Certification preferredTraining Requirements:

The overall nature of the position is sedentary requiring little physical effort with occasional light physical exertion required. There is little, if any, exposure to environmental conditions. The constant physical demand of the position is sitting. The frequent physical demands of the position are standing, walking, climbing, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
