Job Description

Are you looking to start a career in Human Resources and gain hands-on experience across onboarding, benefits, and HR administration? We are seeking an entry-level HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department and contribute to a positive, employee-focused culture. This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn and grow within the Human Resources field. Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Support Assist with new employee paperwork from start to finish, ensuring all forms are completed, processed for payroll, and properly filed Update multiple HR and payroll systems for new hires and terminations Assist with new hire orientation and preparation of onboarding materials Complete employment eligibility forms (I-9) and review for accuracy Provide weekly updates on new hires and terminations Administrative & Benefits Support Prepare and mail required employee notices, including Medicare Part
D, CHIPRA, 401
(k), and other compliance-related communications Complete verifications of employment and coordinate information requests for authorized agencies Track employee benefits enrollment throughout the year Process monthly invoices for benefits, boot vouchers, and HR systems Prepare reports as needed for the Director of HR and management Follow up with employees and managers in a clear, professional, and timely manner on unresolved items Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned Core Competencies Attention to detail Confidentiality and ethics Relationship management Adaptability and customer service mindset Strong organizational and communication skills Qualifications Associate's degree preferred or a combination of education and related experience Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field preferred but not required Customer service or administrative experience strongly preferred Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism Clear verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn HRIS and payroll systems Why This Is a Great Opportunity True entry-level HR role with hands-on exposure Gain experience across onboarding, benefits, HR administration, and compliance Learn directly from experienced HR professionals Supportive team environment with opportunity for growth within HR Pay rate is $18-22/hour
