AM Summary:
Assists Project Superintendent in establishing the construction plan; interfaces with BIM Manager, and other relevant constituencies for evaluation of changes to model. Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design into working documents. Role and Responsibilities Use Revit and AutoCAD for electrical system design and documentation. Prepare clear, complete, and accurate 3D models and 2D drawings for projects. Implement designs from superintendent's sketches or from other documentation. Coordinate 3D models to resolve collisions with other trades. Take responsibility for own work produced to a high standard. Ensure output meets the required standards and achieves agreed deadlines. Qualifications and Education Requirements Associates degree in drafting or minimum of 5 years related field experience AutoCAD and Revit training and experience Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD MEP and other various drafting programs. Demonstrated ability to complete assignments on time and on schedule. Solid understanding of drafting techniques. Working as a member of the drafting team cooperating with the BIM manager, other drafters, engineers, and production team members on each project. An understanding and ability to effectively use Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other office related software. Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills. Ability and willingness to learn new programs as required. Preferred Skills Electrical drafting experience a plus.
