$18- $22 per hour The Bookkeeper will be responsible for assisting with accounts receivable and payable, collecting rent payments, handling eviction paperwork, attending court hearings if needed, and managing vendors, final account statements, audits, and more.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for overall accuracy of all accounts receivables including, but not limited to, posting charges/payments of rent, lease fees, late fees, utilities, etc. Monitor and follow up on bad debt to include preparation of late notices, resident, and guarantor contact, and filing evictions. Responsible for posting all charges to resident and non-current resident accounts; to also include bill back of utilities where applicable. Responsible for all end-of-the-month closing procedures and reporting. Maintain accurate and organized records; audit resident files to ensure accurate records. Ensure staff compliance and consistency with Company policies and procedures. Other duties assigned by the manager.ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Associate degree in accounting preferred; or 2 years' experience in the student/multi-family housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong computer literacy and advanced proficiency using MS Office software.COMPETENCIES
