Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in financial software QuickBooks. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. Prepare and process journal entries to reflect the company's financial activities including payrolls. Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts. Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and insights. Generate financial reports to support management decision-making. Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation. Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Utilize financial software for efficient record-keeping and reporting. Experience Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is preferred. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar financial software is essential. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles and practices. Experience with account analysis, budgeting, general ledger reconciliation, and journal entries is highly desirable. Familiarity with financial concepts and regulations is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
