We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Dental Biller to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient billing, insurance claims, and collections to ensure smooth financial operations within the dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental billing procedures, insurance policies, experience in dental billing and coding, and the ability to effectively communicate with patients and insurance companies.
Responsibilities:
Review and submit accurate insurance claims with appropriate attachments and narratives. Monitor claim status to ensure timely payment and identify trends or delays. Research and resolve denied or underpaid claims through payer follow-up and appeals. Post insurance payments accurately in the practice management system. Communicate with office managers and treatment coordinators regarding billing discrepancies, missing documentation, or claim issues. Maintain current knowledge of payer policies, CDT codes, and dental billing procedures. Manage patient account inquiries and provide clear, professional communication regarding balances and billing questions. Assist in monthly reporting, aging review, and other RCM functions as directed. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and company policies for handling patient and financial information.
Requirements:
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental billing and coding Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and coding systems Familiarity with dental insurance plans and claims processing Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in dental billing software and Microsoft Office Suite Preferred (but not required): Familiarity with CareStack or similar dental practice management software. Experience working within a DSO or multi-location practice environment.
