We are seeking a detail-driven Data Processing Specialist to support our mailing operations. This is a technical role focused on preparing, processing, and optimizing address data for production—ensuring compliance with USPS standards, maximizing postal discounts, and enabling seamless workflow integration from data to delivery. If you have experience working with mailing data, presort software such as BCC Mail Manager, and USPS documentation—and enjoy playing a vital role in high-volume mail production—we'd love to hear from you. Summary The Data Processing Specialist is responsible for transforming incoming data into mail-ready files, ensuring compliance with USPS regulations, and supporting the integrity of production workflows. This includes presort logic, address validation, postal documentation, job-level reporting, and coordination with production, IT, and client service teams. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of delivery accuracy, regulatory compliance, and output efficiency—especially in the high-volume, time-sensitive world of election and commercial mail. Key Responsibilities Process and standardize address lists using BCC Mail Manager Architect Apply presort logic, deduplication, NCOA, and address validation to ensure mail compliance and optimal postage rates Generate postal documentation including PS forms, tray tags, pallet placards, eDocs, and mail tracking reports Verify barcode accuracy and file integrity prior to production handoff Coordinate data prep and job setup with mailing, print, and logistics teams Maintain documentation of file versions, client specs, and processing steps for quality control and audit readiness Support seamless data transitions between departments (e.g., from CSR handoff to production) Track and report key performance indicators related to address quality, delivery standards, and mail success rates Serve as a knowledgeable resource on USPS mailing regulations and industry best practices Assist with troubleshooting address or file-related errors as they arise in the production process Additional Qualifications & Skills Experience with mailing and presort software, preferably BCC Mail Manager Architect Strong understanding of USPS standards, CASS, NCOA, and presort mailing requirements Comfortable working with large datasets, flat files, and variable formats Proficient in Excel, with experience using formulas, filters, and pivot tools for data prep Familiarity with USPS tools and portals (e.g., PostalOne!, Mail.dat, Mail.

XML, Seamless Acceptance) Excellent attention to detail and ability to track file history and version control Basic experience with Windows file systems, folder management, and network navigation Ability to work independently and collaboratively under deadline conditions Knowledge of EFI Pace or other print MIS platforms is a plus Exposure to scripting, automation tools, or SQL is helpful but not required Why Join Fort Orange Press?
