Type:

full-time Finance & Operations Manager | Charlotte, NC We're seeking an experienced Finance & Operations Manager to provide financial leadership and accounting oversight for a growing professional-services organization. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys both the strategic and day-to-day sides of finance. You'll work closely with firm leadership, oversee key accounting and financial processes, and lead and develop the Finance & Operations function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting, general ledger, reconciliations, cash management and financial reporting
  • Manage trust accounting and banking relationships
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  • Analyze financial results, trends and variances to support leadership decisions
  • Oversee payroll and employee benefits processes
  • Maintain strong internal controls and financial procedures
  • Partner with the firm's CPA and outside financial professionals
  • Supervise and develop the Office & Operations Coordinator
  • Improve processes, documentation, SOPs and cross-training as the organization grows
What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
  • Strong general accounting, reconciliation and financial reporting experience
  • Excellent Excel and accounting-system skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently in a hands-on environment
  • Prior leadership or mentoring experience preferred Experience in a law firm or professional-services environment , trust accounting, QuickBooks, budgeting, payroll/benefits oversight, or working with outside CPAs is a plus.

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered. CPA is not required.
