Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused Dental Insurance Verification Specialist to join our growing dental team. This role is essential to ensuring accurate insurance information, timely pre-authorizations, and a smooth patient experience. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, enjoys multitasking, and is comfortable assisting with a variety of front office responsibilities. Responsibilities Verify and accurately enter patients' dental insurance information prior to appointments. Contact insurance companies to confirm eligibility, benefits, deductibles, annual maximums, frequencies, and coverage limitations. Prepare, submit, and track dental pre-authorizations and treatment estimates. Follow up on outstanding pre-authorizations and communicate updates to patients and the clinical team. Maintain accurate patient records and insurance documentation in the practice management software. Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist patients with scheduling, insurance questions, and general inquiries. Respond to emails and manage incoming and outgoing faxes. Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service at the front desk. Assist with appointment scheduling, confirmations, and patient check-in/check-out as needed. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient office operations. Perform other administrative and receptionist duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous dental office experience preferred. Experience verifying dental insurance benefits and submitting pre-authorizations is strongly preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance plans. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Exceptional communication and customer service abilities. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with dental practice management software is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
