We are seeking a reliable and adaptable Office Assistant/Receptionist to serve as the operational backbone of our office. This role combines hands-on physical tasks, day-to-day administrative support, and event coordination. Key Responsibilities Sort and distribute internal and external mail, packages, and documents. Prepare and send outgoing mail and packages; run to Post Office or courier services as needed. Transport office boxes, supplies, and furniture (up to ~50 lbs); assist with workspace rearrangements or move projects.
Provide light admin support:
copying, scanning, data entry, filing, and managing reception tasks as needed. Support cross-functional needs—e.g. supply orders, office errands, or team assistance. Set up workstations for new staff: install desktops/laptops, monitors, printers, and basic peripherals. Troubleshoot common user issues—password resets, connectivity problems, minor software glitches—and escalate complex issues appropriately. Track and help maintain inventory of tech equipment and supplies, including toner or replacement devices. Keep records of tickets or logging of tasks using basic tracking systems. Assist in planning, setup, and breakdown for internal or external office events—such as meetings, training sessions, or small gatherings Support onsite during events to ensure smooth operations and assist attendees or speakers
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. Ability to safely lift and move 50+ lbs. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Comfortable with basic office technology and general computer use. Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Preferred:
1+ year of experience in an office support, mailroom, or facilities role.
