We are an award-winning salon with a talented team in Providence, Rhode Island and we want to grow our team. We have a passion for education, developing stylists and changing the industry to give stylists a safe place to work. We are not like any other salon. Responsibilities include:

Greet guests and get them seated for their appointment. Answer phones, texts, emails and make outgoing calls for appointment scheduling. Use Meevo point of sale to look up information from previous visits, schedule appointments, and take payments. Oversee automatic appointment reminders via email and text. Offer administrative support as part of office support team. Assist with laundry, sweeping, and other cleaning chores. Communication, positivity, an open mind, and a passion for learning is a must. Knowledge of Meevo or other salon scheduling software is a plus. Licensed in the State of Rhode Island or actively in cosmetology school pursuing licensure is a plus but not required. Traits the ideal candidate would have: A positive attitude and a desire to exceed customer expectations. A growth mindset. A desire to be a team player and lead by example. A professional attitude at all times and a desire to develop both artistically and personally. Be on time and understand the importance of a schedule. Arrives to work with hair done, groomed, and dressed in appropriate clothing. What a typical day would look like: Arrive for the scheduled shift 15 minutes before the start of the day. Assist with opening procedures (laundry/setting up for the day) Participate in morning huddle, our quick two-minute meeting to talk about anything important for the day that the team needs to be aware of. Helping with messages, and making sure the schedule is set for the day. Checking guests in, offering them beverages, and getting them seated for stylists. Cashing clients out, pre-booking their next appointment, and checking on products for home care. General housekeeping throughout the day. Cleaning and Closing procedures.

Pay:

$16.00 - $18.50 per hour
