Central Illinois Security (CIS) is an established Alarm Installation and Monitoring Company. Central Illinois Security (CIS) is seeking a Central Station Operator to join our Central Station Team Monday through Friday in Springfield, IL. In this role, you will be a front-line representative for CIS working Wednesday through Sunday (7AM-3PM) . This is a 24/7/365 facility, which will require weekend availability and some holidays. Occasional coverage for weekend 2nd shift hours as needed. The compensation package includes an hourly wage + paid overtime, paid time off, double pay for holidays (applicable if you work on the holiday), full benefits, and 401k matching. Duties and Responsibilities Promptly responding to alarms by making phone calls to businesses and homeowners Notifying appropriate authorities in emergency situations Professionally and efficiently answering incoming calls on a multi-line phone system Providing excellent customer service Routing calls to appropriate extension/personnel Taking accurate and detailed messages Assisting with invoice mailings Greeting visitors via video intercom Candidate Requirements Once you have been hired, you must obtain a PERC card, which will require fingerprinting and background checks at both the state and federal levels. CIS will coordinate and pay to obtain this certification. You must be at least 18 years of age. You must be available to work Wednesday through Sunday 7AM-3PM . May include occasional coverage for weekend 2nd shift hours as needed. You must have permanent authorization to work in the USA.
