Job Description

Livestock position with retail store coverage duties. We are seeking someone that has some experience in either agriculture or other land-based industries (forestry, conservation, etc.) 5 days per week. Sunday through Thursday. Virginia Bison Co. @ Cibola Farms in Culpeper, VA The work for this position will be mostly field and livestock work, but everyone must be knowledgeable and available to support the retail store, the occasional delivery Assist farm manager. Support all labor projects on the farm. General Field Work General Livestock Care - bison and small scale livestock. Tractor handling / Round bale feeding.

Drive:

Farm truck for local pick-ups and deliveries.

Drive:

Refrigerated truck and other vehicles as required. Market support. Periodic retail store sales. Moving of meats around freezers and some restocking and retail sales work. Hospitality support work with cabin visitors. Applicants must be 18 years and older and have a car.

Skills Required:

Ability to pay attention and follow instruction. Must be capable to lift 50 lbs., such as a feed sack. Requires a valid VA, DC or MD driver's license and a record that passes insurance company review. Be willing to work outdoors regardless of weather. Some agricultural, outdoor or mechanical experience needed.
