Job Description

Join a Growing Landscape Team Ardent Landscape is hiring an experienced Landscape Maintenance Technician who can help lead by example in the field. This position is designed for someone with professional landscape maintenance experience who is comfortable operating equipment, driving a company truck and trailer, helping direct daily work, and supporting the Crew Leader in completing routes safely and efficiently. The right candidate may be considered for a Crew Leader position immediately or developed into that role based on experience, performance, leadership ability, and reliability. Position Responsibilities Drive a company truck and trailer to assigned properties Perform professional mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, and landscape bed maintenance Safely operate commercial mowers, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, and hand tools Help organize the crew and assign daily tasks when directed Support the Crew Leader with route completion, quality control, and jobsite communication Review properties before leaving to ensure work meets company standards Assist with shrub trimming, pruning, seasonal cleanups, mulch installation, and landscape improvements Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials Maintain clean and organized trucks, trailers, equipment, and work areas Report equipment problems, property concerns, and additional work opportunities Help train less-experienced crew members on safe and efficient work practices Follow daily schedules, route instructions, property notes, and company procedures Use the Aspire mobile app to review schedules, notes, photos, and work tickets as required What We're Looking For At least one year of professional landscape maintenance experience preferred Experience operating commercial lawn and landscape equipment Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Experience safely driving a truck with a landscape trailer Strong understanding of mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, shrub care, and bed maintenance Ability to work independently and make good decisions in the field Strong attention to detail and pride in finished work Dependable attendance and consistent punctuality Ability to communicate clearly with crew members and supervisors Willingness to take responsibility and help lead the crew Comfortable working outdoors in North Texas weather Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Preferred Qualifications Previous Crew Leader, Foreman, or Lead Technician experience Experience managing a landscape maintenance route Experience training or directing other crew members Familiarity with mobile scheduling or field-service applications Knowledge of basic irrigation or plant health issues Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are helpful What Success Looks Like A successful team member in this position: Arrives prepared and on time Drives safely and protects company equipment Helps the crew stay productive and on schedule Maintains consistent quality across every property Identifies and communicates problems before they become larger issues Sets a positive example for other crew members Takes ownership of the route and the finished result Demonstrates the potential to advance into a Crew Leader role What We Offer Consistent full-time work Weekly pay Opportunities for overtime when available Company training and leadership development Opportunity to advance into a Crew Leader position Increased responsibility and compensation based on performance A team-oriented work environment The opportunity to grow with an established local company About Ardent Landscape Ardent Landscape is a locally owned landscape company serving commercial and residential clients throughout North Fort Worth and surrounding communities.
